Work with us to increase the visibility and accessibility of the performing arts in Chelmsford
Access to the performing arts is increasingly seen as essential to health and wellbeing in the community. A recent UK Government study confirmed it's findings that those regularly attending performance events like plays, musicals and live music, experience reduced incidences of depression, pain and improved quality of life.
Though our auditoriums are brimming with events for everyone, here at Chelmsford Theatre we believe we can do more to reach more.
In return for your financial support in helping us reach more people in the community your company will enjoy exposure to our 150K plus yearly audience through our website, digital screens, e-newsletters and printed programs. Plus, you'll receive invites to special events like opening nights for week long touring shows and backstage tours.

School travel fund
We want to help build a happier, heathier Chelmsford through art and performance.
A lack of ability, expense and opportunity are all understood barriers to experiencing art and performances. An example of one thing that we are aware can prevent schools bringing their students to experience the magic of theatre are costs like coach hire. We’re trying to address these barriers and by partnering with us we can make a difference in our community.
For example, a contribution of £2000 would allow us to offer ten schools with high rates of free school meals, indicating a higher percentage of low income families, £200 each toward their travel expenses to a performance at the Theatre, taking some of the cost barrier out and enabling more schools to access the arts.
