Chelmsford Theatre welcomes Aquabridge Law as first corporate partner

Chelmsford Theatre has confirmed local law firm Aquabridge Law as its first corporate partner.

The new relationship brings together two organisations with a desire to increase access to the arts locally and will focus on supporting the Theatre’s Discover series of community-focused events and projects.

Partnership to boost the Theatre’s existing Discover programme

Aquabridge Law is a modern law firm providing a wide range of legal services including property, corporate, and probate. They believe in the power of the performing arts to improve wellbeing and already have a track record of supporting arts and culture across Essex. The firm is committed to building long-lasting community relationships to help champion creativity and culture in Chelmsford.

Our partnership with Aquabridge Law will focus on supporting our growing Discover programme, which provides opportunities for people of all ages to learn new skills, make connections and improve their overall wellbeing through workshops and masterclasses. It will strengthen the Theatre’s existing Discover offer, helping the venue to reach more people than ever before.

Maintaining the theatre’s upward trajectory

Corporate partnerships are an essential part of the Theatre’s future growth. After a highly successful few years, the venue is exploring new ways to maintain its current upward trajectory. By building new partnerships, our aims to increase the ability to deliver accessible cultural experiences that benefit local communities while also strengthen our financial resilience.

Councillor Jennie Lardge, Cabinet Deputy for Cultural Services at Chelmsford City Council, which operates Chelmsford Theatre, says corporate partnerships are the next step in the Theatre’s ambitious plans:

“Chelmsford Theatre has been growing rapidly in recent years and to maintain this brilliant growth long into the future it is looking to form new relationships across Chelmsford. Such partnerships will help the Theatre to reach further into local communities, ensuring it continues to thrive as a vibrant and inclusive venue that drives Chelmsford’s cultural economy. It’s a step forwards in the Theatre’s ambitions to become a creative powerhouse in the east of England.”
