Come and support the Pride Party March, Chelmsford's biggest celebration of diversity and equality, that's completely free to take part

Chelmsford Theatre and Essex Pride are joining forces to bring you a bigger, brighter, and more vibrant march through the city this June. The 2026 Pride March will be led by Chelmsford’s RuPaul’s Dragrace star, Cheryl the Queen, and features live music from No Limits Street Band playing LGBTQI+ anthems, plus street performers and an atmosphere worthy of Chelmsford’s diverse and dynamic community.

The Details

It's completely free to join the march as a member of the public with no registration required, simply turn up and be ready to party. The Pride March will gather at Marconi Plaza from 10am, Saturday 20 June. Chelmsford Theatre will be open to provide facilities for those gathering for the march and the opportunity for participants to purchase a range of snacks and refreshments from the Theatre café.

10.30am: Performance from No Limits Street Band plus speeches from the Pride March stage at Marconi Plaza

11.15am: march assembly will begin on Fairfield Road, just outside Chelmsford Theatre

11.20am: the march sets off from outside Chelmsford Theatre

12pm: the march arrives at it's destination inside Central Park.
