Back after it's huge success in 2024 and 2025, we are once again in need of some panto magic as part of our Voice of Panto competition.
We need some extra special welcome announcements to be heard by everyone coming to this year's panto and we want your help.
If you think you can add some sparkly festive cheer to our usual announcements, heard by everyone in the Theatre foyers and bars, and are between 5 and 11 years (when entering), then you need to enter our Voice of Panto competition!
What we need from you?
To rewrite the five announcements that we use the rest of the year before the show. We are looking for creative, silly and magical rewrites that are inspired by our pantomime version of Cinderella.
Message 1: Welcome to Chelmsford Theatre. The house is now open.
Message 2: Welcome to Chelmsford Theatre. The show will begin in 15 minutes. Please find your seats.
Message 3: The show in Chelmsford Theatre will begin in 10 minutes. Please take your seats.
Message 4: The show in Chelmsford Theatre will begin in 5 minutes. Please take your seats.
Message 5: The show in Chelmsford Theatre is ready to begin. Please take your seats and enjoy the show.
If your child is chosen, they must be able to record their message with our Technical Team and Creative Engagement Officer at Chelmsford Theatre on Monday 19 October.
How To Apply?
You can enter by either filling in the online form or a physical application form that can be found at our Theatre Box Office.
Get your entries in before the clock strikes midnight on Monday 28 September.
