Sep to Dec New Season has landed

Our most glittering season awaits you.

The Autumn/Winter season brochure has landed, sparkly, new and packed with nights out, family memories and big West End tours you won’t want to miss out on.

After a scorching summer of shows, we’re ready to leap headfirst into the sparkle, glitter and magic. The only way to start is with our big spectacular finish to the year, our much-loved panto spectacular, Cinderella. Expect magic, mayhem, fairy godmothers, major glow-ups and just a touch of ugly — not to be missed.

The festive magic doesn’t stop there, for our younger audiences, the delightful story of The Owl Who Came for Christmas flies into Chelmsford Theatre Studio. With toe-tapping songs, captivating puppetry, and plenty of opportunities for audience participation, perfect for children aged one and up.

Of course, the big nights out haven't been forgotten, from Comedy Crackers starring Russell Kane, to classics stories such as Jane Eyre and A Christmas Carol. For something a little cheekier, adult panto Tinderella and Drag Race favourite Baga Chipz bring the laughs with a brasher twist.

If that isn’t enough, we’re also thrilled to welcome three major West End touring productions this season, starting with Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of), opening it’s UK tour with us in September. Audacious, hilarious and packed with pop karaoke hits. While October brings the return of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers and the regal arrival of By Royal Appointment, starring Jane Asher and Samantha Womack in a sharp new comedy about the late Queen Elizabeth II’s dresser, and the power of fashion.

There’s plenty more to Discover inside, as our packed programme of half-term workshops, parent and baby classes as well as the next series of Dementia Accessible Cinema, can be explored in the centre pull out.

If you want to lovingly thumb through the pages then you can pick up a copy from our theatre foyer, plus they will also be available in our wall racks at High Chelmer and The Meadows shopping centres.

Can’t wait a minute longer (and why would you want to?) then hit the buttons below and digitally dive into our excess of festive entertainment.
